Building a handheld Device using TI OMAP 3530

Hi All,

I'm hoping that there are some Electronics experts out there who may be able to help with this...

I am looking at building a handheld device based around the TI OMAP3530 (I'm going to start with the kit from TechNexion - - which comes with a version of LINUX, but also supports WinCE, Android & Angstrom).

Is there anybody out there who can tell me if this is any good for running the ShiVa engine, and if so, which would be the best OS?

As a bit of background, here are some of the specs for this:

One last thing - The test kit I'm looking at buying uses a 4.3" Touchscreen (480 x 272) and contains a movement sensor

Hi Shando,

Yes this will work, and work well. We are very close to TI, and the engine is and will be compatible with all of their current and future OMAP processors. Concerning the OS, we have some old Angstrom builds, but I recommend you to use Android, at least to start.
