Last time we tested (3 years ago) it was not working, but we did not spend time tweaking the settings. AFAIK some users are using VirtualBox, it's not a "perfect" solution, but seems to work.

a note to 64 bit ubuntu users: if you get a "No such file or directory" warning, you probably need to install the ia32-libs. also, the standalone engine player i packaged in there does not work out of the box on ubuntu 64. is there a new standalone engine already?

Shiva3d plugin doesn't work in latest stable version of Firefox (6.*).

If I change the maxVersion to 6.* in the install.rdf Shiva 3d plugin is installed but doesn't work... for example all demo in Technical Demo of Shiva tell me to install Shiva 3D player also if it is already installed

Standalone version work correctly instead.

i can confirm that. dragging the xpi directly into FF 6(.0.2) results in a "plugin not compatible" error message.

In FF 7.*, the problem is the same: xpi is not compatible, and even if manifest is modified, it is somewhat not taken into account by Firefox which simply does not list it in about:plugins.

Shiva3D web player is therefore completely broken in Linux...
