I have tried running WaterSim on Ubuntu 12.04 (Unity), with no success so far. I could be missing something so I'll keep trying. I get a "No such file or directory" error in the bash shell, which happens when the execution permission is not set to the file but this is not the case. I used UAT 1.4 beta 2 for Windows to create this Linux package containing three files: S3Dclient.cfg; WaterSimLnx; and WaterSimLnx.stk.
Update: In Ubuntu 10.04 and 10.10 I get this instead:
"Loading Pack :
Data Pack : file://WaterSimLnx.stk
... S3DKernel initialized (memory used: 3859716, main thread ID: 0xb4c900)
OpenGL Error: Can't patch size is too small.(glXSwapBuffers)"
