hi guys. so i was screwing with shiva a few weeks ago and i liked it, though it was really weird at first.. anyways the flash application crashes when the sound play reaches somewhere in the 568-570 range i think.. using different compression doesnt seem to solve the problem.. :( :(

anybody can duplicate this bug really fast by creating a scene and having a sound.play in the OnEnterFrame ..If you create an hud that counts the number of times a sound is played you will notice that at 568-570 range the application hangs and freezes.. only the music will continue to play but not the sound and the whole flash application..

i tried to create a runtime object and make that object play a sound then destroyed the object after 1-2 sec it still crashes.. i wonder if htlm5 has the same problem,,, :?: :?:

hi. im sorry i didnt make that part clear... yep playing sound on each frame is overkill.. :evil: :evil:


what i meant was that weird behaviour can be duplicated real fast by playing using sound.play every 2-5 seconds..ive only found out about this bug after playtesting a game for 1-2 hours... using sound.play every 2-5 sec for minutes and playing the game for 1 hour or so with sound.play every now and then would result in the same behaviour after sound.play is used for approximately 560-580 times..

i noticed it starts to sound really weird after 200-300 sound.plays like there is an echo ..
