Cannot open web browser on Ubuntu

Postby psychicsoftware » 2013-08-02 16:51

When I use system.openURL on Ubuntu, a web browser doesn't start up.

The terminal gets this message: "Couldn't get a file descriptor referring to the console"

has anyone else come across this problem?
Sam.

uh, you are right. in essence, system.openURL sends an "open $url" command to the console, this works well for other unixoids like mac os. in linux, it should be "xdg-open $url", we will have to change that. thanks for reporting!

( please confirm that e.g. "xdg-open http://www.shivaengine.com" from your terminal works as well it does from mine. )

nicox is notified.
